Frigidaire Dishwasher Error Codes: What They Mean and How to Fix Them
On Frigidaire models with a display, codes show in the control panel on the top edge or front of the door. Some codes look alarming but are normal messages, such as a countdown number for the delay start or HO while the water is heating. Codes vary by model and series, so use these as a guide alongside your owner's manual. Frigidaire's reset for a drain code is to press Cancel, then turn off the breaker or unplug the dishwasher for 3 minutes.
Frigidaire Dishwasher Error Codes list
Water level too low.
Common causes: Kinked or blocked water line, shutoff valve not fully open.
What you can try: Open the supply valve under the sink fully and check the line for kinks.
Call a technician if: The supply is fine and the tub still fills poorly.
The dishwasher did not drain completely.
Common causes: Disposer knockout plug left in, blocked or pinched drain hose, hose too low, clogged filter.
What you can try: Confirm the disposer knockout plug was removed, check the drain hose, and clean the filter and sump. Then press Cancel and cut power for 3 minutes.
Call a technician if: Water stays in the tub after those steps.
Water is leaking into the base.
Common causes: Loose connection, worn seal, oversudsing, unlevel unit.

Common causes: Cool incoming water.
What you can try: Wait. Running the kitchen tap until hot before starting shortens the wait.

How to clear the code
- Press Cancel to stop the cycle.
- Turn off the dishwasher's breaker or unplug it for 3 minutes.
- Restore power and run a short cycle. If the same i-code returns, the cause is still there.
Codes Frigidaire shows that are not faults
A number from 01 to 24 means Delay Start is set; press Cancel once to start the cycle now. A number from 1 to 199 is just the minutes left. LOC means the door is locked during the cycle, and PRESS START means you need to close the door within a few seconds of pressing Start.

What does i20 mean on a Frigidaire dishwasher?
i20 means the unit did not drain completely. Check the disposer knockout plug, the drain hose and the filter, then press Cancel and cut power for 3 minutes to reset.
Is the i30 code serious?
It means water is getting into the base. Stop using the dishwasher, shut off the water and look for a leak. Oversudsing from the wrong soap is a common cause.
Why does my Frigidaire dishwasher show HO?
HO is not an error. The dishwasher is heating the water before continuing. Colder incoming water makes this take longer.
Codes and meanings vary by model and model year. Check your owner's manual for your exact model.
