Samsung appliances are everywhere in Metro Atlanta, especially French-door refrigerators and front-load laundry. They are packed with features, and many problems show up as a code on the display or a specific pattern like a warm fridge with a cold freezer.
Mr. Fixer repairs Samsung refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers and ranges. We carry the defrost parts, fan motors and sensors that fail most, so many Samsung jobs finish on the first visit.
About Samsung appliances
Samsung Electronics is a South Korean company that grew into one of the largest appliance sellers in the US. Its refrigerators use twin cooling and in-door ice makers on many French-door models, and its washers and dryers rely heavily on electronic controls and sensors. Samsung also owns the luxury brand Dacor. For repairs, the biggest Samsung pattern we see is ice: evaporator icing behind the freezer panel and ice buildup in the ice maker compartment. Samsung parts are widely available, though some control boards and refrigerator assemblies are ordered by model.

Common Samsung problems we fix
Fridge warm, freezer cold
On Samsung French-door and side-by-side refrigerators, this usually means a frosted evaporator coil from a defrost failure, or an iced-up fan. It looks like a compressor problem but rarely is. Our Samsung not-cooling guide explains more.
Ice maker frozen or leaking
Ice buildup in the ice compartment, a frozen fill tube or a jammed auger is common on Samsung in-door ice makers. We clear the ice and address the underlying cause rather than just thawing it.
Washer shows 5C or 4C
On many Samsung washers, 5C (or 5E) commonly points to a drain problem, while 4C (or 4E) indicates water supply issues. A clogged pump filter, kinked hose or closed valve is often the cause.
Washer shaking or UE/UB code
UE or UB commonly means the load is unbalanced. If balancing the load does not help, worn shocks, a suspension problem or a drum issue may need repair.
Dryer not heating or squeaking
Thermal fuses, heating elements and gas igniters cause most no-heat calls, while drum rollers and idler pulleys cause most noise. We check vent airflow on every dryer repair.
Dishwasher leak code
Many Samsung dishwashers display LC when water is detected in the base. We find the source, such as a hose, seal or pump, and dry the leak sensor so the dishwasher can run again.
Samsung tips from our technicians
- If your Samsung display shows OF F or O FF and the fridge is not cooling, it may be in demo mode. Check your manual for the button combination to exit it before calling.
- Clean the Samsung washer pump filter every few months. On front-loaders it is behind a small cover at the lower front.
- Keep the ice bin in a Samsung French-door fridge seated properly. A bin that is slightly out of place can let warm air in and contribute to icing.
Samsung repair FAQs
Why does my Samsung refrigerator keep icing up?
Common causes include a defrost failure, door seal leaks, or a fan problem. In the ice maker compartment, a worn seal or failing component can lead to buildup. We find the source and repair it.
What should I do if my Samsung washer shows a 5C code?
Turn the washer off, place towels down and check the pump filter at the lower front. Also check that the drain hose is not kinked. If the code returns, the pump may need replacement.
Is it worth repairing a Samsung refrigerator?
In most cases, yes, when the failure is a defrost part, fan, sensor or board. If a sealed-system problem makes the numbers questionable, we say so up front and let you choose.
